United for Brownsville is a community-driven, Brooklyn nonprofit with proven success helping the predominantly Black and brown children and families of Brownsville flourish. We facilitate collaborations between families and the social services sector that build trust, reimagine systems, and create equitable, data-based, and responsive solutions to racial inequities.

What do the data say about supporting children in Brownsville?

Since UB began driving collaboration around Early Intervention in 2019 using data from the NYC Department of Health and ideas for change recommended by families, Black children in Brownsville have doubled the rate at which they receive services — a success for local children, child services, and UB.

Check out our new Data Dashboard to understand what data say about the ability of children in the neighborhood to access essential services.

UB is a partnership that helps systems work better for children and their caregivers

We center resident experience and expertise, build community among social service providers accustomed to working within silos, and change negative narratives by celebrating Brownsville’s many strengths.
