Amsterdam News covers UB’s EI Success

Today Amsterdam News, America’s most influential, oldest continuously published Black newspaper, published an articled entitled “No Child Left Behind: United for Brownsville fights for early intervention access in Brooklyn.”

In the article, journalist Leah Mallory tells the story of how Brownsville achieved equitable access to Early Intervention for Black children by fostering collaboration between families and service providers. Mallory talks with UB’s Georgina Gooden, Danielle Herring, and David Harrington about how Brownsville achieved equity as well as with colleagues at South Bronx Rising Together about work they are doing that was inspired by Brownsville’s success.
